A Note From Your Storyteller
As a storyteller, I believe every family has a chapter worth preserving.
When these two arrived for their maternity session, they brought more than a growing baby bump—they brought excitement, anticipation, and a love that was already overflowing. Between studying ultrasound photos, sharing quiet glances, and dreaming about the little one they would soon meet, every moment felt like a page from a story still being written.
This session wasn't just about documenting pregnancy. It was about honoring the season before parenthood expands once again—the waiting, the wondering, and the deep love that begins long before a baby's first breath.
As I edited these images, I kept imagining the day their child will look back at these photographs and see just how loved they were from the very beginning.
So today, I'm sharing this session as a love letter to the baby they haven't met yet.
Dear Little One,
Right now, you are still tucked safely beneath your mama’s heart. You have never seen the sunlight streaming through the windows. You have never felt the grass beneath your feet or heard your name spoken aloud. And yet, you are already so deeply loved. Your parents sit together, studying tiny black-and-white photographs, searching for glimpses of you. A tiny profile. A tiny hand. Proof that the dream they've carried in their hearts is becoming real. They wonder who you'll look like. They wonder if you'll have your mama's smile or your daddy's eyes. They wonder what your laugh will sound like and what kind of person you'll become.
But more than anything, they simply cannot wait to meet you.
Your mama already reaches for you without thinking, resting her hands over the place where you grow. She talks to you in quiet moments. She dreams about holding you. She carries you with strength, grace, and a love that seems to grow bigger every day. And your daddy? He's already listening for you.
Already protecting you. Already imagining all the adventures that are waiting for the two of you. Long before your first breath, you changed everything. You transformed ordinary days into days filled with anticipation. You turned conversations into dreams. You made two people become parents.
One day, you'll look back at these photographs and see a beautiful gown, a growing belly, and two smiling faces. But I hope you'll see something more.I hope you'll see the beginning of your story. The chapter where your parents waited for you. Prayed for you. Dreamed about you.
And loved you long before they ever held you in their arms.
Until then, little one, keep growing. There is a whole world waiting for you. And there are two hearts already completely devoted to loving you through every chapter that comes next.
With love,
Your storyteller ✨
As a storyteller, these are the moments I treasure most. Not just the beautiful gowns or glowing light, but the anticipation, the quiet smiles, and the love that already exists before a baby takes their first breath. Thank you for allowing me to preserve this chapter of your story. I cannot wait to see how the next one unfolds.
